Walrus Oil Wood Wax for Chopping Boards is a 100% natural, food-contact safe wood conditioner and polish, that's incredibly easy to apply. The extra-dense wax consistency provides a durable barrier from water and moisture, protecting wooden chopping boards, charcuterie boards, and other kitchen tools from cracking and drying out. Water will bead right off treated surfaces almost instantly after application, while also enhancing the wood’s natural colour and sheen! Wood Wax for Chopping Boards can be applied on it's own, or for extra protection, after a coat of Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil. With NSF Certification, its a well-established choice in many industries, including woodworking and food service.

FAQS:

How do you use Wood Wax and Cutting Board Oil together?
Remember our golden rule of finishing, "oil before wax"! Since our Wood Wax is designed to repel liquids, when using both products together, always apply Cutting Board Oil first, following it's own specific application steps, before applying Wood Wax. With that being said, Wood Wax can totally be used independently to adequately protect and waterproof wood surfaces.

How do you safely clean a wooden cutting board?
First off, NEVER put your cutting board in a dishwasher! While this may sound appropriate, especially after dicing up a few pounds of smoked brisket, the high temperatures and moisture will cause the glue lines in your board to come undone. To safely wash your board, simply clean it with cold or lukewarm water and light dish soap. This will eliminate the chances of damaging your board and help retain the Cutting Board Oil conditioning.

What does NSF Certified mean?
In the United States, NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) is synonymous with certifying products as safe for food-contact surfaces. It's considered the gold standard for restaurants and food production facilities. Earning NSF certification is a rigorous and costly process, underscoring why Walrus Oil stands out as one of the best products for cutting boards and butcher block. Walrus Oil proudly holds NSF certification for its Cutting Board Oil, Wood Wax, and Cast Iron Oil, all of which are certified safe for food-contact surfaces and every ingredient is also GRAS (generally regarded as safe) by the FDA.
